Operation Dolphin ByCatch: More Dolphins Killed in Nets
On April 6th Sea Shepherd crew filmed two more dead dolphins in the nets of trawlers who, just the day before, swore they haven’t captured any dolphins this year thanks to their “pingers” (acoustic deterrents).
This is further proof that even when pingers are being used, they’re not working. Non-selective fishing methods need to be banned in areas where protected marine mammals live until better solutions are found.
